Washington Post Blasts Cooch for Witch Hunt, Part II

The Washington Post nails it on this one.

The attorney general’s logic is so tenuous as to leave only one plausible explanation: that he is on a fishing expedition designed to intimidate and suppress honest research and the free exchange of ideas upon which science and academia both depend — all because he does not like what science says about climate change…

What is this farce costing? To defend itself from Mr. Cuccinelli’s investigation into the distribution of a $214,700 research grant, the University of Virginia has spent $350,000, with more to come, and that doesn’t count the taxpayer funds Mr. Cuccinelli is devoting to this cause. Sadly, though, that’s the smallest of the costs. The damage to Virginia’s reputation, and to its universities’ ability to attract and retain top-notch faculty and students, will not be easily undone.

Can we please impeach this lunatic before he damages Virginia further?

this cartoon from the great Tom Toles.

If Cooch had been off the deep end before, he’s now skimming the utter depths.  He’s turning our state into a complete laughing stock.

I encourage all state Delegates and Senators I know to introduce and support resolutions to censure and impeach this out-of-control tyrant. Sic semper tyrannis!

not for lovers – CH Cooch is trying to prevent women’s reproductive care.

not for LGBT people – CH Cooch has decided you do not have rights here.

not for health care – you don’t get health care here – even if you want it.

not for immigration – you brown people need to be deported.

not for marriage – apparently you are only married in Virginia if god does it (god is CH Cooch).

not for those who did the time and are not good writers – you need to write a real good essay for the governor – and nobody will write a good essay.

not for the Official Virginia Flag and Seal – CH Cooch has decided you should not see ‘the boob’ because the god has weird morals (god is CH Cooch).

not for voters – CH Cooch has decided you rabble need to prove you know your stuff to vote – a literacy test should be needed to vote. (at least it is not a poll tax – that may be next)

not for moderate citizens – CH Cooch likes his far right nutcases – teabagging is too liberal for him.

not for research – CH Cooch is trying to prevent the scientific method from being used. If you make a mistake, or even if you don’t make a mistake if CH Cooch decides you are doing research he does not like you are a criminal (he is god of course so he decides)
