    Arlington Commonwealth’s Attorney Dick Trodden Endorses Alfonso Lopez

    Cites Lopez’s Connection with the Community

    Arlington Commonwealth’s Attorney Dick Trodden has endorsed Alfonso Lopez today for the 49th District of the Virginia House of Delegates. For 18 years, Trodden has run Arlington’s Commonwealth’s Attorney office. The office, which consists of 34 staff members, is responsible for prosecuting all crimes committed in Arlington County as well as felonies committed in the City of Falls Church and all felonies and misdemeanors committed at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

    Alfonso has been actively involved in the community for years,” said Trodden. “I know that Alfonso will listen to the community and be our voice in Richmond. He will work with Arlington’s new Commonwealth’s Attorney to ensure that we have the resources we need to keep our community safe. Alfonso will stand against efforts to combine the Arlington and Alexandria judicial circuits.”

    Arlington Commonwealth’s Attorney Dick Trodden joins Arlington County Sherriff Beth Arthur and a growing list of supporters in Arlington. This supporters include: Arlington County Board Chairman Chris Zimmerman, Arlington County Board Member Jay Fisette, Arlington County School Board Member Emma Violand-Sanchez, Former Arlington School Board Chairs Ed Fendley and Frank Wilson, and Former Delegate Karen Darner.
