Attorney General Herring Terminates Outside Counsel Contracts in McDonnell Case

My fellow Virginians, I hereby present the first (of what is likely to be many) tangible benefit of electing Mark Herring as Attorney General? 🙂 This one will save Virginians significant amounts of money that were being spent because corrupt Ken Cuccinelli had a conflict of interest and couldn’t do his job.

RICHMOND — Attorney General Mark R. Herring today terminated the contracts with two law firms providing outside counsel to former Governor McDonnell and his office. The outside counsel contracts were entered into because of a conflict the prior attorney general had. The conflict no longer exists.  The letters are available below.
