A few “highlights” (using the word VERY loosely) from Dave Brat’s “press conference” (in quotes because normally in a press conference the candidate takes, uh, QUESTIONS from the press, and Brat takes ZERO questions) earlier today.

*He fired his campaign manager (for more on that guy, see David Brat’s Campaign Manager Scrubs His Facebook Page: Here’s What He’s Hiding) and hired the former political director for, of all people, Eric Cantor! Gotta love it.

*He said most of his staff is from “our region,” and includes a cross section of “Tea Partiers, Libertarians and independents.” A cross section o’ crazy, in other words.

*He basically repeated the right-wingnut “Republican creed,” but also added an attack on what he calls “crony capitalism,” and what I’d call “what makes the Republican Party the Republican Party.” Heh.

*He called for term limits, which of course are NOT in the constitution he said we have to adhere to in order to “protect our liberty.” Whatever.

Anyway, with that, enjoy…or more likely not! Heh.

In George Orwell’s “Animal Farm”, the pigs lead a revolution against their farmer, teaching all the animals to say “four legs good, two legs bad”.  Until, bit by bit, they start adopting all the same exploitive practices of the farmer including walking on two feet — requiring them to reverse their slogan!

How long before Brat is indistinguishable from Cantor?

His new communications director is Brian Gottstein, who coincidentally used to be Ken Cuccinelli’s communications director. He also helped to co-author Cuccinelli’s book. http://www.rollcall.com/news/d… aide invirginia-233913-1.html

Three things would fix the gov’t, and Brat is correct in naming one of them:

    (1) Non-partisan redistricting (LOL, Dems won’t even let this happen)

    (2) Public financing of campaigns (general public would never like the idea, way too easy to campaign against)

    (3) Term limits to prevent life tenure as a “public servant”
