A bit earlier this evening, about 100 people gathered at Arlington’s Courthouse Plaza to demand action on closing Virginia’s healthcare coverage gap. Here’s some video, starting with Del. Patrick Hope introducing a woman named Patricia. More video on the “flip.” Also see video of Senator Adam Ebbin, Delegates Rob Krupicka and Alfonso Lopez, a representative from the Jewish Community Relations Council, and a woman named Roxanne who told her story of why she needs health care coverage.

It was great to gather together on behalf of people who truly deserve our support.

Virginia has left ONE BILLION dollars in the hands of the federal government that Virginians have contributed to the federal government and that we could have had.

The Tea Party and its Speaker of the House, Bill Howell, have chosen to do this.  They prefer it this way.

What’s amazing to me is that his constituents have not come after him with pitchforks.

My only explanation is that they don’t know what he’s done.  I just hope someone tells them because what happened to Eric Cantor should happen to him once they know.
