Attorney General Cuccinelli seems to have had a change of heart about his ability to pick and choose the laws he wishes to enforce. Apparently, someone informed him that’s now how it works.

As the Washington Post and Politico reported two weeks ago, Attorney General Cuccinelli made a statement at the Republican Attorney General Association meeting that he plans to stonewall the health care law, even if the Supreme Court upholds it. “It’s not like there’s criminal penalties out there — it becomes a power struggle,” he said.

Maybe the Attorney General’s biggest “struggle” is not with the Feds, but with staying on message. At a town hall meeting this morning at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, he changed his mind. After a Martinsville resident pressed him, he denied making the comments about continuing to block the law even if it’s upheld and said “I expect everyone to obey the law.”

Well there you have it, folks. No jaywalking for you. Our AG is on the move.

The flip-flop starts at (2:15) after he tells an uninsured woman with heart problems that if we could just sell insurance across state lines, her troubles would fade away. She must be so relieved by his pragmatism and compassion. Why didn’t anyone else think of that?
