The Stench
Find out how Ken Cuccinelli's not just a tinfoil-hat, John Birch Society-style, extremist wackjob, he's also corrupt, in the The Continuing Chronicle of Ken Cuccinelli's Corruption. It really stinks!

Virginia News Headlines: Saturday Morning

Here are a few Virginia (and national) news headlines for Saturday, October 13. Also, check out President Obama's weekly address, "about his choice to rescue the American auto industry from collapse and save more than one million American jobs." And don't forget, Romney thought the auto industry should go bankrupt.

*The "Moderate Mitt" Myth
*GOP tax plan would have minimal reduction on federal tax rates, analysis says ("Wiping out itemized deductions and raising taxes on investment income would generate only enough cash to pay for a minuscule reduction in federal tax rates, according to an official analysis, raising new questions about the workability of Republican-style tax reform.")
*Monday is deadline to register to vote in November election
*In our debates, the ingredients never blend ("I worry that the current recipe fails to give voters adequate nourishment, and the judging we do in the media, emphasizing style over substance, makes matters worse.")
*Obama's way with words ("With Obama and Clinton both, strengths and weaknesses are inextricably linked. The same qualities that carried each man to the White House cannot be separated from traits that can give them varying degrees of trouble.")
*Five myths about political polls
*Sen. Mark Warner confident sequestration will be avoided
*Pro-George Allen Super PAC Gets $ 1 Million Donation ("Swift Boat" man to the rescue of George Allen!  Another donor: Foster Friess, "who made headlines for his suggestion that women used to put aspirin between their knees for contraception." These are George Allen's big supporters.)
*GOP-leaning parts of Virginia quicker to cast absentee ballots (Not a good sign, we need to turn this around!)
*Virginia Democrats pushing 'women's issues'
*Economy, abortion issues divide House candidates ("In their first debate this election season, the two men competing in Virginia's 2nd Congressional District pointed out their sharp differences Friday night on health care, abortion and handling the federal government's fiscal problems.")
*Virginia pro-lifers try to tug at hearts of voters ("Abortion, health care revived as issues for suburban women")
*Future ticket mates? McAuliffe, Northam in Norfolk Saturday
*Romney fires up more than 3,000 in Chesterfield
*Cardinals' last-gasp comeback puts bitter end to Nationals' playoff hopes (Great season, but what an awful, horrible ending. Between that and the Orioles' elimination by the Yankees, yesterday was definitely one of the worst days ever for me as a baseball fan. Sigh.)
