The Stench
Find out how Ken Cuccinelli's not just a tinfoil-hat, John Birch Society-style, extremist wackjob, he's also corrupt, in the The Continuing Chronicle of Ken Cuccinelli's Corruption. It really stinks!

Virginia News Headlines: Friday Morning

Here a few Virginia (and national) news headlines, political and otherwise, for Friday, October 19. Note that in Nate Silver's 538 model, President Obama ticked up 4.7 points, to a 70.4% chance of winning the election, with Virginia flipping back to light blue. Let's keep this momentum going for 2 1/2 more weeks (e.g., if you're going to volunteer in some way, this weekend would be a great time)!

*Obama back on campaign trail today in N.Va.; Romney to Fla (The fact that Romney feels the need to campaign in Florida - a state Democrats don't have to win, but he does - with just over 2 weeks to go is very, very telling.)
*Polls: Obama holds his lead in Iowa, Wisconsin
*McDonnell sticks up for Romney's 'binders' comment (It's, uh, interesting to see "Transvaginal Bob" having the chutzpah to speak about women's issues, given his own horrendous record in this area.)
*Employee of GOP-hired group arrested for destroying registration forms in Virginia (Why is this not surprising?)
*Warner 'All In' on Trying to Solve Fiscal Cliff (While people like George Allen just criticizes, lies, fails to take any responsibility, and offers NOTHING constructive...)
*What makes Tim Kaine run? ("Catholicism is central to the former Va. governor's identity. Pragmatism has helped his political successes.")
*Romney's strategy of winning Va.: Ripping Obama on defense cuts (Of course, he should be ripping his own party, which is mostly responsible for "sequestration," but this is pathological liar Willard we're talking about, after all...)
*Warner calls for Dodd-Frank corrections in new Congress
*Va. health commissioner resigns over state's new regulations on abortion clinics
*Allen ad: taxes are Kaine's solution to fiscal problems (No, George, it's called a BALANCED approach, versus your all-cuts approach, which would devastate our country's infrastructure, education, homeland security, veterans, federal employees, Virginia's economy, etc.)
*In final debate, Kaine, Allen exchange biggest shots
*Griffith, Flaccavento stoke coal in debate ("The 9th District congressional candidates clashed most over issues related to energy.")
*Ad Watch: Republican Scott Rigell's "Anything but Jobs" commercial ("Kidd said if the ad was a project turned in by one of college students, he would give it a D.")
*Loudoun PAC files petition for Delgaudio records (This should be fascinating, as Delgaudio's a total sleaze.)
* Man Questioned for Molotov Cocktail at Mall
*Dumler's bond hearing postponed until Friday ("The delay gives prosecutors time to review Albemarle County Supervisor Christopher J. Dumler's charge of forcible sodomy.")
*Police: More than 100 charged in broad No. Va. sweep

P.S. Also see Eugene Robinson's Why the chill on climate change?, in which he correctly notes, "Not a word has been said in the presidential debates about what may be the most urgent and consequential issue in the world: climate change."
