VIDEO: Cuccinelli Flip Flops on Obeying the Health Care Law

Attorney General Cuccinelli seems to have had a change of heart about his ability to pick and choose the laws he wishes to enforce. Apparently, someone informed him that’s now how it works.

As the Washington Post and Politico reported two weeks ago, Attorney General Cuccinelli made a statement at the Republican Attorney General Association meeting that he plans to stonewall the health care law, even if the Supreme Court upholds it. “It’s not like there’s criminal penalties out there — it becomes a power struggle,” he said.

Maybe the Attorney General’s biggest “struggle” is not with the Feds, but with staying on message. At a town hall meeting this morning at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, he changed his mind. After a Martinsville resident pressed him, he denied making the comments about continuing to block the law even if it’s upheld and said “I expect everyone to obey the law.”

Well there you have it, folks. No jaywalking for you. Our AG is on the move.

The flip-flop starts at (2:15) after he tells an uninsured woman with heart problems that if we could just sell insurance across state lines, her troubles would fade away. She must be so relieved by his pragmatism and compassion. Why didn’t anyone else think of that?

Kookinelli mocks corruption report, idea that he should investigate corruption (0.00 / 0)

Well, at least he's honest about not doing his job! By the way, the report Cuckoo's being asked about is this one. I particularly love how Cuckoo writes off the entire report because it's (supposedly) funded by the Evil George Soros (TM). And yes, it's an absolute no-brainer that Coochy should be seriously looking into this and doing something about it. His response, sadly, is exactly what you'd expect from this corporate tool and ideological extremist.

Corruption? (0.00 / 0)
After managing to skate out from the US Navy Veterans Association scandal Cooch gets nausea whenever the word corruption is mentioned. We are fortunate that the move to put Consumer protection under his office never gained traction.

Maybe the Governor spoke with him (0.00 / 0)
The Governor is in the process of implementing some of the law now. Maybe he informed little kooki that you have to obey the law.
