Richmond, VA – The Virginia League of Conservation Voters has announced their endorsement of Adam Ebbin in the race for the 30th Senate District. Ebbin, a four-term member of the House of Delegates who this year is running for the State Senate, has been recognized six times as a Legislative Hero by the Virginia LCV.
“As a member of the House of Delegates, Adam Ebbin has been a tireless champion on behalf of our environment. For eight years, he has fought for greater use of clean energy and worked to protect the quality of our air and water,” said Lisa Guthrie, the Executive Director of the Virginia LCV.
In the House, Ebbin passed a bill to establish a Solar Resource Loan Fund, designed to help homeowners offset the cost of installing solar panels (HB 2091). Ebbin has also introduced legislation (HB 2047) designed to reduce pollution from throwaway plastic grocery bags in Virginia’s rivers and streams.
“Protecting our natural environment and ensuring that Virginians have clean air to breathe and clean water to drink is an essential responsibility of our state government. I am proud of my record of fighting alongside the Virginia League of Conservation Voters for a greener Virginia, and look forward to continuing that effort in the Virginia Senate,” said Adam Ebbin.
The Virginia League of Conservation Voters is the Commonwealth’s leading environmental advocacy organization. The Virginia LCV seeks to preserve and enhance the quality of life of all Virginians by making conservation a top priority with Virginia’s elected officials, political candidates, and voters.
For eight years, Adam Ebbin has represented Northern Virginians in the House of Delegates. During that time, he has won recognition for his commitment to progressive values, and will be this year’s recipient of the Chesapeake Conservation Action Network’s Clean Energy Champion award.
