As the former Chair of the Arlington County Democratic Committee for four years (2006-2010), I have had the opportunity to recruit and observe many different candidates for many different offices. I strongly endorse Stephanie Clifford’s candidacy for the Democratic nomination for delegate in the 49th District.
Stephanie’s candidacy has also been endorsed by many current and former elected officials at the national, state, and local levels. People like The Hon. Leslie Byrne, who was the first female from Virginia elected to Congress, and our very own Senator Patsy Ticer, who herself has been a public servant for over 20 years.
Organizations like NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia, Virginia NOW, the Virginia Partisans, and the Women’s Campaign Forum all recognize Stephanie’s commitment to equal rights for all Virginians, and have also chosen to endorse her campaign.
It was Stephanie’s background in community service and activism that brought her to run for pubic office. Stephanie is truly interested in the residents of this district, and is running to bring their voice and values to Richmond.
She exhibits a sharp focus and steadiness of purpose. She is calm, cool, and collected in the face of adversity. She is thoughtful and carefully listens to others. She is effective and she follows through.
