Alexandria Mayor and Virginia 8th Congressional candidate, William D. “Bill” Euille, announced that fellow candidates Don Beyer and Lavern Chatman have agreed to sign his clean campaign pledge.
“It is so gratifying to know that we have good Democrats willing to put the party over personal gain in this primary,” said Mayor Euille.
“It is just unfortunate that no other candidates have seen how beneficial it will be for our party to keep this nomination contest clean and fair.”
Euille stated that he has emailed the pledge to all other candidates and hopes that each of them will ultimately sign the pledge and agree to run a campaign that doesn’t resort to mudslinging and personal attacks.
“Ultimately everyone seeking this nomination is a good Democrat and would be an infinitely better representative than anyone the Republicans might put forward,” said Euille. “I want to make sure we don’t lose sight of that.”
Bill Euille is running for Congress to ensure that everyone is part of our success here in Northern Virginia
