Great job by Tim Kaine; watching this powerful, emotional speech – joining in support of Sen. Chris Murphy’s filibuster on gun violence yesterday – makes me proud that he represents Virginia in the U.S. Senate! Among other things, Kaine recounts the gun violence tragedies he’s dealt – and the “scar tissue” he’s with as a Richmond City Council member and as Governor of Virginia, including the Virginia Tech massacre – “the worst day of my life, and it will always be the worst day of my life.” Kaine asks, “Why do we need to be passive, why do we need to do nothing?” So, NRA-supporting Republicans (and a few Democrats), what’s the answer?!?
