From 2017 Democratic House of Delegates candidate and current Culpeper Democrats Vice Chair Tristan Shields, who moderated this VA-07 Democratic forum last Saturday: “2018 is a big election year in Virginia. P.S. I didn’t see much disagreement on the issues, and not much tension between the two candidates, other than one time when Ward pushed back against what he said was “an attack” against him for supposedly taking “dark money.” According to Ward, that is not accurate, that in fact both candidates “take money from outside groups.” He added that the group, “With Honor,” is a “veterans organization that is transparent of where they get their funding from.”
