Hmmm…who could possibly be missing from this fun-looking event with 2018 Virginia GOP U.S. Senate nominee Corey Stewart? Let’s see; it looks like the Republicans’ 8th CD and 11th CD nominees are going to be there in Fairfax this Saturday. So where’s Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA10)? Not listed as attending an event located in her own district? Of course, this is the same person who won’t hold a town hall or basically any public event with her constituents. But in this case, it does make you wonder whether Comstock – who votes 97% of the time with Trump – is avoiding Trump “mini-me” Corey Stewart like the plague that he is. On the other hand, that’s exactly the conundrum evident in today’s Quinnipiac Poll – if Comstock appears with Corey, it hurts her among voters overall; but if she does NOT appear with Corey, it hurts her with base Republican voters. What to do? What to do? I’d almost feel bad for Comstock, except…nah! LOL
