Dominion Power

36 General Assembly Members – All Democrats – Send Letter to State Corporation Commission Opposing Dominion Raising Virginians’ Energy Bills by $147 Million

Good stuff from Del. Alfonso Lopez’s office:

Please see [the following] letter from 36 General Assembly legislators to the State Corporation Commission opposing Dominion Energy’s request to increase its allowed profit level. If approved, Dominion’s request for a 10.75% rate of return on equity would raise energy bills by $147 million in Virginia. The signees of this letter join the US Navy, Walmart, the Attorney General, and Virginia Poverty Law Center in opposing this request. Nearly 300 public comments have also been filed in opposition. This letter was filed today and should be public on the SCC’s website tomorrow.

Notice, by the way, how every single General Assembly member signing this letter is a Democrat? So basically, Virginia Republicans are the main part of the problem when it comes to Dominion ripping off Virginians (and polluting our environment…and delaying the transition to clean energy…and…). Just keep that in mind on November 5 when you head to he polls!
