From Wild Virginia:

“Wild Virginia and four other organizations [Alleghany-Blue Ridge Alliance, Appalachian Voices, Mothers Out Front – Roanoke and New River Valley, and Sierra Club Virginia Chapter] have submitted the attached comments in response to the Virginia Attorney General’s proposed settlement with Mountain Valley Pipeline for violations of state environmental laws. While we believe the proposed consent decree includes important measures, we remain concerned that the pattern of frequent and widespread violation MVP has set cannot be reversed unless systemic changes are made. We have outlined three areas in which we think a settlement could ensure that our State Water Control Law will be met. Mountain Valley LLC should not be allowed to proceed with construction unless and until it proves it is both able and willing to comply with the law.”
