See below for video of Sen. Tim Kaine on MSNBC last night – in which he says “The Senate should be coming together today to affirm the Georgia vote, not to disenfranchise voters in a massive way, but we will defeat that effort” – as well as a strong, accurate and 100% justified statement by Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D-VA10)
What is Senator @TimKaine‘s’ message to his Republican colleagues who are objecting the electoral college results?

Wexton Statement on Efforts to Block Electoral College Certification
In response to statements from Republican Senators and Representatives on their plans to attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) issued the following statement:
“I am deeply concerned that these efforts to reverse the will of the American people could cause lasting damage to our democracy.
“It’s unimaginable that we’d see the tactics of dictators and despots being utilized by our own President. Donald Trump lost the election and is desperately trying to hold onto power through any means necessary.
“What makes this more disturbing is the willingness of so many Republican elected officials to cast democracy aside in an attempt to advance their personal political careers. They are not part of a political party. They are part of a seditious cult.”
