Sunday (1/3) Virginia Data on COVID-19 Finds +5,010 Confirmed/Probable Cases (to 363,765), +70 Hospitalizations (to 18,310), +7 Deaths (to 5,124)

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (1/3), in Virginia we’re at 363,765 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 18,310 hospitalizations and 5,124 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 5,010 (+1.4%) in the latest statistics, which is a faster rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 3,989 (+1.1%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 70 (+0.4%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 74 (+0.4%).  Deaths are reported +7, compared to +36 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 4,365,480 (up 27,541 from yesterday).
