So, at this point (3/24), in Virginia we’re at 608,704 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 26,037 hospitalizations and 10,143 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 1,470 (+0.2%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,267 (+0.2%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 89 (+0.3%), which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 128 (+0.5%). Deaths are reported +6, compared to +10 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 6,356,719 (up 19,331 from yesterday).
