So, at this point (4/24), in Virginia we’re at 653,326 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 28,057 hospitalizations and 10,675 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 1,005 (+0.2%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,340 (+0.2%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 45 (+0.2%), which is a slightly slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 95 (+0.3%). Deaths are reported +9 compared to +13 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 6,936,596 (up 19,405 from yesterday).
