Saturday (4/3) Virginia Data on COVID-19 Finds +1,542 Confirmed/Probable Cases (to 623,881), +60 Hospitalizations (to 26,669), +8 Deaths (to 10,287)

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (4/3), in Virginia we’re at 623,881 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 26,669 hospitalizations and 10,287 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 1,542 (+0.3%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly faster rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,538 (+0.3%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 60 (+0.2%), which is a slightly slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 73 (+0.3%).  Deaths are reported +8 compared to +11 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 6,524,620 (up 21,264 from yesterday).

P.S. No sign of new VHHA numbers as of 9:03 am.
