So, at this point (4/25), in Virginia we’re at 654,210 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 28,090 hospitalizations and 10,691 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 884 (+0.1%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly slower rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,005 (+0.2%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 33 (+0.1%), which is a slightly slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 45 (+0.2%). Deaths are reported +16 compared to +9 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 6,952,209 (up 15,613 from yesterday).
