Saturday (5/29) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Hospitalizations, 10-Day New COVID Cases Near Lowest Points Since Early in Pandemic

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (5/29), in Virginia we’re at 675,165 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 29,713 hospitalizations and 11,160 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 322 (+0.05%) in the latest statistics, basically the same rate of increase as yesterday’s 404 (+0.06%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 30 (+0.1%), the same rate of increase as yesterday’s +28 (+0.1%).  Deaths are reported +4 compared to +4 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,415,536 (up 8,985 from yesterday).
