Sunday (5/30) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Hospitalizations at Lowest Point Since Start of Pandemic; 10-Day New COVID Cases at Lowest Point Since 4/1/20

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (5/30), in Virginia we’re at 675,392 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 29,734 hospitalizations and 11,173 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 227 (+0.03%) in the latest statistics, basically the same rate of increase as yesterday’s 322 (+0.05%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 21 (+0.1%), the same rate of increase as yesterday’s +30 (+0.1%).  Deaths are reported +13 compared to +4 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,422,978 (up 7,442 from yesterday).
