Tuesday (5/25) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Hospitalizations At Lowest Point Since Early in Pandemic; 10-Day New COVID Cases Lowest Since 4/2/20

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (5/25), in Virginia we’re at 673,759 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 29,560 hospitalizations and 11,137 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 654 (+0.1%) in the latest statistics, a faster rate of increase compared to yesterday’s +76 (+0.01%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 55 (+0.2%), a slightly faster rate of increase as yesterday’s +19 (+0.1%).  Deaths are reported +21 compared to +10 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,368,111 (up 9,626 from yesterday).
