Thursday (6/3) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Hospitalizations, 10-Day New COVID Cases Near Lowest Points Since Start of Pandemic

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (6/3), in Virginia we’re at 676,041 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 29,870 hospitalizations and 11,216 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 258 (+0.04%) in the latest statistics,  a slightly faster rate of increase as yesterday’s 186 (+0.03%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 55 (+0.2%), a slightly faster rate of increase as yesterday’s +40 (+0.1%).  Deaths are reported +10 compared to +12 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,453,374 (up 10,403 from yesterday).
