Wednesday (6/2) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Hospitalizations at Lowest Point Since Start of Pandemic; 10-Day New COVID Cases at Lowest Point Since 3/30/20

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (6/2), in Virginia we’re at 675,783 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 29,815 hospitalizations and 11,206 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 186 (+0.03%) in the latest statistics,  a slightly faster rate of increase as yesterday’s 59 (+0.01%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 40 (+0.1%), the same rate of increase as yesterday’s +18 (+0.1%).  Deaths are reported +12 compared to +8 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,442,971 (up 8,339 from yesterday).
