Saturday (7/10) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Hospitalizations, New COVID Cases At Lowest Levels Since March 2020

Highest 10-day total new COVID cases since June 6...thanks largely to "delta" plus people who refuse to get vaccinated.

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (7/10) in Virginia we’re at 682,433 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 30,782 hospitalizations and 11,450 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 286 (+0.04%) in the latest statistics, compared to yesterday’s 257 (+0.04%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 45 (+0.15%), compared to yesterday’s +31 (+0.10%).  Deaths are reported +2 compared to +7 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,776,331 (up 9,357 from yesterday).
