Wednesday (7/14) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Still Relatively Low, But…Highest New 1-Day COVID Cases Since 5/25; Highest 10-Day New COVID Cases Since 6/3

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (7/14) in Virginia we’re at 683,614 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 30,900 hospitalizations and 11,467 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 412 (+0.06%) in the latest statistics, compared to yesterday’s 346 (+0.05%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 39 (+0.13%), compared to yesterday’s +60 (+0.19%).  Deaths are reported +8 compared to +9 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,806,275 (up 8,286 from yesterday).
