NEW DIGITAL AD:
Terry for Virginia Releases New Digital Ad “Kids” Calling Out Glenn Youngkin’s Dangerous Anti-Vaccine Agenda That Would Put Virginia’s Children at Risk

MCLEAN, VA – Terry for Virginia today released a new digital ad, “Kids,” highlighting Glenn Youngkin’s vehement opposition to COVID-19 safety measures that keep Virginia children and families safe. The ad features Youngkin’s own words opposing vaccine requirements and CDC-recommended mask requirements in schools that keep children safe. With the recent increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations of children, it is more important than ever to elect a governor who will follow the science and get every eligible Virginian vaccinated as quickly as possible.

Glenn Youngkin has rejected COVID-19 safety measures that the majority of Virginians support and continues to spread anti-vaccination rhetoric. He is against basic mask mandates for students in schools and has encouraged college students to take non-medical and non-religious exemptions to avoid getting vaccinated. Youngkin has also been campaigning on his fawning admiration for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, whose anti-COVID safety “leadership” has resulted in more than 250,000 students and staff in Florida in quarantine. Recently, children in Florida have been hospitalized for COVID-19 at a rate of 68 per day, including some on ventilators and in the ICU. In addition, there are over 30 schools in Florida closed due to COVID-19 and since August 1, 84 educators have died due to COVID-19. Youngkin’s desire to model his governorship after DeSantis’ would harm Virginia’s families and jeopardize Virginia’s students’ safety.
