Virginia COVID Cases Leap 42,185 Since Friday; Up a Massive 111,367 Over Past 10 Days

Hospitalizations highest since January 2021

See below for the latest COVID-19 statistics for Virginia, courtesy of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA). As you can see, total cases hit 1,160,703, up a whopping 42,185 since the Friday morning report and up a massive 111,367 over the past 10 days – by far the highest 10-day increase since the pandemic began. As for hospitalizations, according to VDH, we’re now at a cumulative 42,835, up 973 from the Friday morning statistics. And deaths are at 15,615, up 28 from the Friday morning statistics. Not good.
