2022 VA League of Conservation Voters Scorecard: 58/58 “Legislative Heroes” Are Dems; Republicans’ Scores Are as Disgracefully Anti-Environment as You’d Expect.

Any further questions about which party cares about clean energy, clean air, clean water, etc, and which party does NOT care about any of those things?!?

From the Virginia League of Conservation Voters, check out the 2022 Conservation Scorecard for the Virginia General Assembly. A few highlights include:

  • Out of 58 VA League of Conservation Voters “2022 Legislative Heroes” in the VA General Assembly…yep, 58 are Democrats, ZERO are Republicans. For anyone who still thinks there’s no difference between the two parties…LOL.
  • “There were also 11 others who scored between 90% and 99%, and…yep, all of those are Dems.”
  • The highest score among Republicans was Sen. Jill Vogel, with a “meh” 76%. Other than that, Republicans generally scored in 30%s and 40%s. For instance, Sen. Jen Kiggans, who’s the Republican nominee in VA02 against Rep. Elaine Luria (D), got a failing grade of 50%, and has a lifetime score of an even-more-pathetic 36%. As for Senate Minority Leader Tommy Norment, he clocked in at a miserable 53%, with an even-worse score-since-2000 of just 48%. As for Speaker Todd Gilbert (R), he got a pathetic 44% score, with an even worse 26% score-since-2000.
  • Among the craziest of the crazy, most extreme of the extremists: Del. Dave LaRock (R) got a 39% score; Del. Marie March (R) got a 33%; Del. Wren Williams got a 44%; Del. Nick Freitas (R) got a 33%; Del. John McGuire got a 33%; Sen. Amanda Chase (R) got a 40%; Sen. Mark Obenshain (R) got a 32%; etc.

Any further questions about which party cares about clean energy, clean air, clean water, etc, and which party does NOT care about any of those things?!?
