Great stuff from VA House Democratic Leader Don Scott:
Minority Leader Don Scott Sets Fundraising Record
Democrats have momentum coming out of first fundraising quarter
RICHMOND, VA – Today, House Democrats announced that with this quarter’s filing, Leader Scott set the record for most money raised in Q1 by a House minority leader in at least a decade. Leader Scott raised over $325,000 in the first quarter across committees, setting the stage for victory in November.
After raising nearly $1.2 million in the final months of 2022 and first quarter of 2023, the Virginia House Democratic Caucus is also entering the campaign season with double the cash on hand from this same time in 2021.
“This quarter’s fundraising records send a clear message: Virginia is ready for a Democratic majority in the House,” said Leader Don Scott, “this has always been about all of us, and Virginians want change. They want an economy that works for all hardworking Virginians and a world class education for every child; they want safer communities and want our rights and freedoms safeguarded. House Democrats are ready to deliver in the majority. I am very grateful for their support.”
Leader Scott has raised just shy of one million dollars since becoming Minority Leader on June 1st, 2022.
