DCCC Launches “GOPVotedToDefault.Com,” Highlighting Painful Impacts of Jen Kiggans’s Extreme ‘Default on America Act’
Virginians will see what critical programs that Kiggans voted to cut

On Thursday, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched www.GOPVotedToDefault.com, a new microsite highlighting the extreme and painful spending cuts Jen Kiggans voted for as part of their ‘Default on America Act.’

Kiggans sided with extremists to hold our economy hostage and enact cruel cuts to programs that keep Americans safe, secure, and healthy. On top of the dangerous cuts, the ‘Default on America Act’ would trigger a job-killing recession, gut Americans’ hard-earned retirement savings, and increase unemployment.

The new microsite allows Virginians to explore how Kiggans’s vote would negatively affect their family and community.

Over the next 17 months, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will continue to hold Jen Kiggans accountable to ensure Virginians know Kiggans’s false promises at home do not match her actions on Capitol Hill.

DCCC spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:

“When Jen Kiggans sided with the extremes of her party and voted for the ‘Default on America Act,’ she sold out hard-working families in Virginia and pushed our economy closer to a job-killing recession. Virginians will hold Kiggans accountable for these disastrous cuts to programs veterans and seniors depend on, and the shameless mistruths she has been telling her constituents.”
