Check out the following press release from Freedom Virginia. Also note that, in the same debate, Siobhan Dunnavant also said a bunch of other dumb/bad stuff, such as:
On abortion, she claimed, “Something that’s legal becoming illegal is not a ban.” Uh, ok.
She made clear that she has NO IDEA what RGGI (the “Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative” of northeastern states) is; falsely claimed it has something to do with California, electric cars, etc. Nope!!!
Bottom line: don’t vote for people like Dunnavant – ever.
Dunnavant Declares Support for Corporate Tax Cut in SD-16 Debate
RICHMOND, Va. — Freedom Virginia today condemned Sen. Siobhan Dunnavant for declaring her support for reducing the corporate tax rate at a Sept. 17 candidate forum.
“Siobhan Dunnavant had an opportunity in this debate to show hardworking people where she stands, and she stood with corporations,” said Freedom Virginia executive director Rhena Hicks. “If Republican legislators had gotten their way, the state budget would have been teeming with handouts for corporations and the rich while shortchanging our schools. Thankfully, Democrats won the budget fight for our kids and our communities.
“When someone tells you who they are, believe them the first time,” continued Hicks. “Siobhan Dunnavant will absolutely side with corporations over hardworking people if she is sent back to the Senate.”
During the debate, moderator Whittney Evans of VPM said, “The governor proposed cutting the state’s corporate income tax rate from six percent to five percent. Is this something you support?”
Dunnavant responded, “It is.”
