Spanberger for Governor Reports More Than $3.6 Million Raised in First 48 Days of Campaign

Spanberger’s Campaign Received More Than 9,200 Contributions of $100 or Less — More than Any Previous Virginia Gubernatorial Campaign in its First Filing

Spanberger Has Received Contributions from All 133 Virginia Localities

HENRICO, Va. — Abigail Spanberger for Governor today announced that the campaign raised more than $3.62 million from nearly 12,800 contributions from November 13 to December 31, 2023 — just 48 days. 

U.S. Rep. Abigail Spanberger’s campaign is powered by grassroots donors across Virginia: 

  • 94% of donors gave $200 or less.
  • 72% of donors gave $100 or less.
  • More than 9,200 contributions were $100 or less — more than any previous Virginia gubernatorial campaign in its first filing. 
  • 72% of contributions are from Virginians. 
  • Spanberger’s campaign has received contributions from all 133 of Virginia’s counties and cities.

Beyond record-breaking fundraising numbers, Spanberger is off to an early start in earning key Virginia endorsements. Since launching her campaign, Spanberger has been endorsed by former Virginia Governor Ralph Northam; U.S. Representatives Jennifer Wexton (VA-10), Gerry Connolly (VA-11), and Don Beyer (VA-08); former U.S. Representatives Elaine Luria (VA-02) and Tom Perriello (VA-05); and dozens of state and local officials from across the Commonwealth.
