From DPVA – this is SO revealing about Kiggans and Anderson, and NOT in a good way!
Kiggans and Anderson To Campaign With Speaker Johnson After He Promised to Repeal the Affordable Care Act
Kiggans and Anderson would pave the way for ACA repeal, leaving 1.1 million Virginians without health care
On Monday, Election Night Eve, Republican congressional candidates Jen Kiggans (VA-02) and Derrick Anderson (VA-07), along with other Virginia MAGA extremists, will close out campaign season with Speaker Mike Johnson. Johnson was caught on video this week promising to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which provides health care to 1.1 million Virginians. Republicans have no plan to replace the ACA, only–as Donald Trump said–“concepts of a plan.”
- SPEAKER JOHNSON: “Health care reform’s going to be a big part of the agenda. When I say we’re going to have a very aggressive first 100 days agenda, we got a lot of things still on the table.”
- RALLY ATTENDEE: “No Obamacare?”
- JOHNSON: “No Obamacare. The ACA is so deeply ingrained, we need massive reform to make this work and we got a lot of ideas on how to do that.”
In stark contrast, Democratic nominees Missy Cotter-Smasal (VA-02) and Eugene Vindman (VA-07) are fighting to lower prescription drug costs, protect essential programs like the ACA and ensure every Virginian can access the health care they need.
“Jen Kiggans and Derrick Anderson would be sure votes for a MAGA agenda, which includes repealing the Affordable Care Act, driving up health care costs, and ending protections for preexisting conditions. The millions of Virginians who would lose their health coverage cannot afford their extremism,” said DPVA Chairwoman Susan Swecker. “Missy Cotter-Smasal and Eugene Vindman know that access to affordable health care is at stake, which is why they’re fighting to protect it.”
