“It’s coming! Remember when you’d hear the scary music, or the approaching bad guys in a horror movie? Well, that horror movie’s about to play out in the cost that Americans have to put up with. Inflation rose 2.7% in June, and that’s before we see the full impact of the on-again, off-again tariffs. July, most experts think, will be worse.
Remember, this was the guy that said he was going to lower food prices. Not! This is the guy that was going to end countless wars. Not! This is the guy who promised always that he wouldn’t touch Medicaid. Not! This litany of lies brought to you by Donald Trump and a feckless group of Republican yes people. He’s going to do great damage. Prices are already creeping up; they’re going to keep creeping up. This is chaos that’s going to simply make life harder for every American trying to get by.
On top of that, obviously a lot of Americans will lose their healthcare, food assistance. And we’ve taken a place where we were well-respected around the world and now kind of look like fools as we say, hey, Canada’s the really bad guys. Although this week Trump has finally realized that Putin’s playing him for a fool. But who knows how long that lasts as well.
Folks have got to remember there’s plenty to speak up and step out on. But more importantly, we all got to vote. Vote, vote, vote, like your life depends upon it.
