Washington, D.C. – In response to GOP Rep. Rob Wittman (VA-01) getting caught on video holding a fundraiser at a ritzy DC restaurant just hours before the government shutdown is set to take effect, House Majority PAC spokesperson Katarina Flicker released the following statement:

“The government may be barrelling towards a shutdown, but Rob Wittman has bigger priorities: schmoozing donors at a fancy D.C. fundraiser where it costs up to $5,000 just to get in the door. While Virginians brace for the fallout, Wittman and his House Republican colleagues could care less — and it will cost them at the ballot box in 2026.”
