Video: Rep. James Walkinshaw (D-VA11) Says “For months I’ve been asking why Donald Trump is covering up the Epstein files. Now we know why.”

"Newly released emails say Trump knew about Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse and spent hours with one of the victims at Epstein’s home."

Rep. James Walkinshaw (D-VA11) nails it on this story:

House Democrats released an email from Jeffrey Epstein on Wednesday that claimed President Donald Trump had “spent hours” at Epstein’s house with one of his sex trafficking victims.

In the 2011 email released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, Epstein wrote to Ghislaine Maxwell, his partner who was later convicted of sex trafficking, that Trump had “spent hours at my house” with one of Epstein’s victims and that encounter “has never once been mentioned” by police. Epstein called Trump a “dog that hasn’t barked.”

So yeah, release the Epstein files already, and let’s all see what the facts are. Also, any Republican – Jen Kiggans? Rob Wittman? John McGuire? Ben Cline? – who opposes releasing the Epstein files RICHLY deserves to lose next November.

Walkinshaw Statement on Newly Released Emails Saying Trump Knew About Epstein’s Abuse, Spent Hours With Victim

Washington, D.C. – Representative James R. Walkinshaw (VA-11), member of the House Oversight Committee, released the following statement in response to newly released emails from the Jeffrey Epstein estate:

“For months I’ve been asking why Donald Trump is covering up the Epstein files. Now we know why.

Newly released emails say Trump knew about Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse and spent hours with one of the victims at Epstein’s home.

These emails raise serious questions about Trump’s personal knowledge of, and involvement in, Epstein’s crimes. Trump once demanded the release of the Epstein Files — until learning he was in them.

I was the 217th signature on the Epstein discharge petition. Today, Adelita Grijalva will be the 218th. Soon, every member of the House will have to choose whether to participate in Trump’s cover up or listen to the survivors who have demanded transparency.”
