In politics, you should never take anything for granted, but obviously Sen. Mark Warner is the overwhelming favorite for the Democratic nomination in 2026, and also to be reelected next November over whichever right-wing extremist (e.g., Bryce “Taking Dems to the Train Station” Reeves) the Republicans nominate.

So…just about everybody is endorsing Mark Warner for reelection, unsurprisingly.
Virginia Democrats Rally Behind Warner
Every statewide elected official, entire Virginia Democratic congressional delegation, and 80 state legislators endorse Warner for reelection
Alexandria, VA —Today, Senator Tim Kaine, Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger, Lt. Governor-elect Ghazala Hashmi, Attorney General-elect Jay Jones, Rep. Bobby Scott, Rep. Jennifer McClellan, Rep. Eugene Vindman, Rep. Don Beyer, Rep. Suhas Subramanyam, Rep. James Walkinshaw, 18 members of the Virginia Senate, and 62 members and members-elect of the Virginia House of Delegates endorsed Senator Mark Warner for reelection.
The early endorsements underscore broad support for Warner’s record of delivering for Virginians and unprecedented unity from Virginia Democrats just hours after Warner formally announced his reelection campaign.
“I am proud to support Mark Warner’s reelection campaign for the U.S. Senate. From our time working together in Congress to our time together on the campaign trail, I know firsthand Mark’s commitment to lowering costs, expanding access to health care, and strengthening Virginia’s economy. Virginia needs his effective, bipartisan leadership in the Senate now more than ever,” said Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger.
“While Donald Trump and congressional Republicans play politics with Virginians’ livelihoods, Mark Warner is fighting for us in Washington. He’s a proven leader pushing back against policies that raise costs, rip Virginians off their health care, and hurt our workers. I look forward to continuing to work with him to create opportunities for all Virginia families to thrive,” said Lt. Governor-elect Ghazala Hashmi.
“Mark Warner shows up for Virginia — every single day. As our Senator, he’s been on the front lines bringing down costs, protecting health care, and building a family-first economy. And as Republicans attack our freedoms and our pocketbooks, Senator Warner hasn’t flinched. He’s stood up, stepped up, and fought for this Commonwealth. I’m proud to stand with him and endorse his reelection to the United States Senate,” said Virginia House of Delegates Speaker Don Scott.
“I’ve worked with Mark throughout our careers towards our common goal: Making Virginia the place to raise a family, get an education, or start a business. During this chaotic time for Virginia and our country — with our economy and critical freedoms under threat— we’ve never needed Mark’s integrity, vision and leadership more than we do now. Let’s get to work to reelect Mark Warner,” said Senator Tim Kaine.
“I am proud to work alongside Mark Warner as we fight to lower costs, bring accountability to Washington, and make our communities safer and stronger. There is so much work to be done to help Virginians minimize the impact of the Trump administration’s chaos and we have a strong advocate in Senator Warner,” said Congressman Bobby Scott (VA-03).
