Good question by the DCCC, which could also apply to Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA01), Rep. John McGuire (R-VA05) etc. in addition to Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-VA02). Bottom line: if Kiggans, Wittman et al won’t sign the discharge petition to force a vote on a three-year ACA tax credit extension, they are COMPLETELY FULL OF SHIT when they claim (dishonestly) to care about ACA tax credits expiring.
| Will Jen Kiggans Sign Discharge Petition to Force a Vote on a 3-Year ACA Tax Credit Extension? |
|
| The petition has 214 signatures and needs only four Republicans to force a vote to prevent skyrocketing premiums. Why hasn’t Kiggans signed on? |
|
| Time is running out to prevent Virginians’ health care premiums from skyrocketing.
Congresswoman Jen Kiggans has joined meaningless letters claiming that she wants to do something about the issue. But when push comes to shove, Kiggans has so far refused to sign onto a measure that would force a vote in the House to extend ACA tax credits for three years.
Only four Republican signatures are needed to prevent health care costs from skyrocketing. Virginia voters deserve to know: Why has Kiggans refused to act?
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Virginians are sick and tired of Congresswoman Jen Kiggans saying one thing but doing another. Kiggans is trying to deceive voters into believing she wants to prevent skyrocketing health care costs, but she refuses to join 214 of her colleagues in backing a commonsense measure to extend the ACA tax credits for three years. Kiggans would rather play political games than actually do something to make life more affordable for Virginians.” |
