Lieutenant Governor Ghazala Hashmi Launches Next Chapter PAC
RICHMOND, VA — Lieutenant Governor Ghazala Hashmi today announced the launch of Next Chapter PAC, a new political action committee focused on backing leaders and ideas that strengthen the Commonwealth and inspire Virginians to join in building a next chapter that promises opportunity for all.
“With the launch of Next Chapter PAC, we’re building the momentum to bring people together and move Virginia forward,” said Lieutenant Governor Hashmi. “I’m traveling across the Commonwealth, listening, organizing, and working alongside Virginians to turn shared priorities into real progress.”
Following session adjournment and alongside the launch of Next Chapter PAC, Lieutenant Governor Hashmi is engaging with Virginians across the Commonwealth through a series of efforts over eight days focused on voting, reproductive rights, and the upcoming redistricting referendum:
- Speaking at a reproductive rights event to educate and mobilize support around the reproductive freedom referendum
- Delivering the keynote address at the Virginia Young Democrats Convention in Norfolk, energizing the next generation of leaders
- Rallying support for early voting at the No Kings 3 Richmond protest
- Speaking with Mount Vernon Democrats about Virginia’s April 21 redistricting referendum, emphasizing the importance of fair representation and pushing back against ongoing threats to democracy
- Addressing the congregation at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church to encourage early participation in the redistricting referendum
- Leading a canvass launch in Henrico focused on voter outreach and engagement
- Casting her own early vote in Richmond to underscore the importance of civic engagement
- Releasing a personal message to voters encouraging early voting participation
- Joining volunteers and phone bankers organized by the Center for Common Ground to support early voting outreach efforts
- Participating in Network NOVA’s Friday Power Lunch to connect with advocates and organizers
