NEW AUDIO: Glenn Youngkin Doubles Down on Dangerous Anti-Vaccine Position

Richmond, VA — Glenn Youngkin has made it clear: his political agenda will prolong the devastating COVID-19 pandemic. Today, in a new radio interview, Youngkin can be heard doubling down on his dangerous position encouraging people not to get the lifesaving COVID-19 vaccine.

Glenn Youngkin: “I believe that we have to just respect people’s ability to express their liberty to say, no, I’m not going to get this vaccine for whatever reason.”

In his campaign, Youngkin is emboldening anti-vaccine extremists like Amanda Chase and makes clear he intends to model himself after Ron DeSantis — whose reckless, anti-COVID safety “leadership” has been a disaster for Floridians. This comes after Youngkin reiterated that he is committed to following Ron DeSantis’ lead and ignoring CDC guidelines on masking.

Meanwhile, Terry McAuliffe is showing real leadership by calling on every Virginia employer to require all eligible employees to be vaccinated following the FDA’s full approval of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.

“Glenn Youngkin’s reckless anti-vaccine agenda is a threat to the health and safety of all Virginians,” said DPVA spokesman Manuel Bonder. “Youngkin is encouraging the dangerous rhetoric and behavior that stands in the way of beating COVID-19. Terry McAuliffe, on the other hand, knows we need to get all eligible Virginians vaccinated in order to beat this virus — and as governor, he will work tirelessly to get it done and keep our Commonwealth safe.”
