Virginia COVID Cases Continue to Surge, Up 7,439 Since Monday Morning; Deaths Up 185; Hospitalizations Up 142

See below for the latest COVID-19 statistics for Virginia, courtesy of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA). As you can see, total cases hit 1,075,288, up 7,439 since the Monday morning report, and up 61,898 over the past 10 days…the highest since the pandemic began. As for hospitalizations, no sign of any VHHA stats as of 9:35 am, but according to VDH, we’re now at a cumulative 40,939, up 142 from 40,797 in the Monday morning statistics. And deaths are at 15,504, up 185(!) from 15,319 in the Monday morning statistics.
