Actress, Author, and Activist Molly Ringwald to Headline Event for Senator Ghazala Hashmi
RICHMOND, VA — Acclaimed actress, author, and activist Molly Ringwald will visit Richmond to headline an event in support of Senator Ghazala Hashmi’s (D-Chesterfield) reelection campaign on June 25. Ms. Ringwald is known for her standout performances in such timeless and iconic films as Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, and on the CW’s Riverdale television series. Furthermore, she has distinguished herself as a successful author with the publishing of Getting the Pretty Back: Friendship, Family, and Finding the Perfect Lipstick, When It Happens to You: A Novel in Stories, and Lie With Me. Moreover, she has used her voice as a long-time activist in support of LGBTQ+ issues, women’s equality, and reproductive rights.
