Kaine For Virginia Campaign Launches First TV Ad, “Dignity”

Tim Kaine: “Good jobs build our nation.”

Richmond, VA – As early voting in Virginia is underway, the Kaine for Virginia campaign launched its first TV ad, “Dignity,” highlighting Senator Kaine’s life-long work to create good-paying jobs in Virginia and support job training efforts to improve Virginia’s workforce.

Senator Kaine spent the first weekend of early voting campaigning around the Commonwealth in Arlington, Manassas, Stanardsville, Woodbridge, Leesburg, Accomac, and Chincoteague. And this morning, Senator Kaine will vote early in Richmond with great public servants Anne Holton and Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan.

Kaine for Virginia’s “Dignity” ad highlights how Senator Kaine is bringing manufacturing and infrastructure jobs to Virginia.

WATCH:

The ad begins with detailing how Senator Kaine started working in his dad’s ironworking shop and then taught carpentry and welding to students in Honduras. It spotlights his work in the U.S. Senate to bring high-tech manufacturing and infrastructure jobs to Virginia.

“From growing up working in his dad’s ironworking shop to teaching kids carpentry and welding, Senator Kaine has always understood how having a skill can change a person’s life. That’s why in the U.S. Senate, Tim Kaine passed laws so that America is building and manufacturing again,” said Michael Beyer, Communications Director for Kaine for Virginia. “Tim Kaine has always had the backs of Virginia workers, who are making it in America, building it in America, and growing it in America.”

Watch the ad here and view a full transcript below:

  • Senator Tim Kaine: I grew up working in my dad’s iron working shop. Then, I ran a school teaching kids carpentry and welding.
  • I learned from that and passed laws so that we’re building and manufacturing again. Ships and submarines, roads and bridges, electric vehicles and clean energy and microchips and broadband.
  • We’re bringing high tech manufacturing and infrastructure jobs to Virginia.
  • Good jobs build our nation.
  • I’m Tim Kaine and I approve this message.
