New Ads Featuring Former Member of Virginia’s Bipartisan Redistricting Commission, Virginia Veteran
RICHMOND, Va. — Today, two weeks until the beginning of Early Vote, Virginians for Fair Elections is releasing its next two ads, “Commission” and “General,” highlighting the serious threat facing Virginia’s democracy and reaching voters all across the Commonwealth.
“Commission” features former Virginia Bipartisan Redistricting Commission Member James Abrenio, who witnessed Donald Trump order MAGA Governors to rig their maps so the President could hold onto power. Commission Member Abrenio knows Virginia can’t sit by and do nothing — which is why he is voting YES to level the playing field.
VO: Congressional district lines should be independent and bipartisan — and no one believes that more than me.
VO: I was an original member of the Virginia bipartisan redistricting commission. But when Trump orders MAGA Governors to rig their maps so that he can hold onto power, we cannot sit by and do nothing.
