In a sane country, of course, the massacre six years ago at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut never would have happened. In a sane country, of course, we would have had commonsense gun violence prevention measures in place many years ago. And in a sane country, of course, we wouldn’t have this barbarity happening over and over again. Unfortunately, thanks to the gun lobby/NRA, and the blood-on-their-hands elected officials who do the gun lobby/NRA’s bidding, we do NOT live in a sane country when it comes to gun violence. The question is, when will this situation ever change? Why does the United States have to be an outlier compared to basically every other country on earth? Why do we put up with this horror? This situation needs to change, ASAP!
